Nicole Partyka is a multi-disciplinary content creator, artist, and educator. She holds a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto majoring in Human Biology: Health & Disease and Cinema Studies. She is also completing a diploma in Media Communications from Humber College.

Nicole regularly writes for Broken Pencil Magazine, where she reviews zines, comics, graphic novels, and literature, often focusing on themes of queer identity, mental health, science fiction, trauma, and activism. She also co-hosts a Star Trek themed podcast along with film critic Angelo Muredda called Highly Logical, where they explore the franchise’s themes of social and political commentary (SoundCloud | iTunes).

Her work focuses on numerous themes and genres, including political activism, cinema, science, science fiction, queer politics, mental health, and trauma.
